Dreams Come True

Eduardo D.

Remember Eduardo? Because of scholarship support, he graduated from NU in the spring of 2018 with his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management. As he had dreamed, Eduardo is now enjoying an information technology career, and even has a view of Times Square in New York City!

Please consider supporting more students like Eduardo. Eduardo recalls his experience with NU, saying, “From the very beginning, and all throughout I was guided and inspired by all of the faculty and staff, making National feel like a big family. I am so grateful for everyone at National.”

Due to family hardships, Eduardo’s path to National University was not an easy one. He faced much adversity during his youth, delaying his decision to go to college. Instead, Eduardo followed his strong sense of patriotism and enlisted in the U.S. military. He is now a first-generation college graduate. Eduardo has worked as an information systems security officer, a network administrator, and a quality assurance inspector. His love for this field led him to achieve his degree at NU and begin his IT career in the business process services industry, supporting government health and human services agencies.

NU provides an affordable and accessible education for adult learners who don't follow the traditional path, including those in the military. “By offering online four-week classes, students such as myself are afforded the opportunity to work around their schedule and can focus on each class, retaining the most knowledge as opposed to using rote memorization to get by in several classes,” Eduardo says. “As a firm believer of education being a gateway to success, I always encourage others to go to college. The faculty and staff at National University have gone above and beyond to facilitate my experience.”

Students from all backgrounds and walks of life come to National University to pursue their dreams. However, full-time jobs, families, and other obligations can make earning a degree challenging. Your charitable support is vital in helping to make a National University education within reach for deserving students like Eduardo. As a nonprofit university, NU relies on community giving and the generosity of alumni like you to keep our classes accessible, innovative, and affordable. Please make a gift today toward transforming a life like Eduardo’s. Your generosity can make all the difference for students who are determined to succeed, but cannot afford to do it alone.
