Giving Opportunities
Support Our Student-focused Programs and Initiatives
Your donations and gifts can be designated toward a variety of programs and initiatives at National University.
Here are just a few giving opportunities to consider.
Scholarships and Programs
Many of the programs and initiatives at National University are funded by donors like you. Our scholarships and programs include:
- Veteran Success
This program promotes the holistic development and achievement of military students and student veterans through the integration of academic, career, networking, and wellness services. - Teacher Excellence
This program helps our teachers guide the next generation of leaders by providing them funding for teaching supplies. - National University Scholars Program
The NU Scholars Program is a scholarship and educational program created to reward exceptional students. This program celebrates our diverse student body and recognizes students who demonstrate potential for high achievement and contribute to society. Scholars receive a full scholarship and are the official student ambassadors of the university. - Guardian Scholarship
This scholarship provides financial support to foster youth who aspire to obtain a university degree. It just takes one person to make a child’s dream come true.
Endowments
An endowment is a permanent fund that supports a purpose of your choice and creates a lasting legacy in your name. Your gift is invested in perpetuity, with distributions from your endowment enabling NU to remain on the cutting edge with its programs and technology and ensuring its financial sustainability. Contributions to NU endowments support the following:
- Scholarship Endowment
Provides support to victims of domestic violence, military personnel and their dependents, and other need-based funding. - Clum Charles and Gwendolyn Bucher Endowment for Faculty Scholarship Abroad
Provides opportunities for faculty to learn and teach abroad, and for foreign faculty to teach at the university. - Library Endowment
Maintains the onsite and online library resources and ensures that they are both state-of-the-art. - Jerry C. Lee Endowed Chair for Technology and the Adult Learner
Dedicated to technological innovations in the classroom. In the past, the Chair was held by Robert R. Davila, Ph.D., a leading researcher and advocate for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
Naming Opportunities
Naming is one of the highest acknowledgments at National University, bestowed on donors whose investments have a transformative impact on the university, and whose commitment to education leaves a legacy for generations to come. It is a special opportunity for you to honor a family member, loved one, or your own legacy by naming a college or school, one of our facilities, classrooms, student lounges, or computer labs.
